Asleep at the Wheel

Asleep at the Wheel

You ever look up and realize you’ve been coasting? Like, really think about it—when was the last time you were in the driver’s seat of your own life?

Not just going through the motions. Not just checking boxes or doing what’s expected. I’m talking about living on purpose, not by default.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, stuck, or like your life is happening to you instead of because of you… sis, you might be asleep at the wheel.

And it happens. You take care of everybody. You’ve been showing up for work, for family, for your responsibilities—but when was the last time you showed up for you?

Autopilot is predictable.  And predictable feels safe. We cling to a routine because change is scary and decision fatigue is real. But autopilot doesn't lead to fulfillment. It just keeps the lights on.

At some point, you have to snap out of it.

You have goals collecting dust, dreams you keep pushing to next month or next year, and talents you’ve downplayed because life got a little too loud. But your life is still yours. And it’s waiting on you to take the wheel.

Because the truth is, no one’s coming to rescue you from a life you never asked for. And no one’s going to force you to live the one you actually want.

And it’s okay if you don’t know exactly what that looks like yet. What matters is that you’re willing to stop drifting.

So if this post is your wake up call–good. Stretch. Breathe. Start the ignition. And don’t just ride—drive.

Just something to think about.
